US Senate candidate Barbara Bollier is making a campaign stop in Emporia this week.
The Kansas City Democrat will have a “Bollier for Senate Lawn Chair Chat” at Fremont Park at 12:30 pm Friday. Residents are encouraged to bring lawn chairs if they plan to attend. Masks and social distancing will be observed.
Bollier is locked in a tight and heated battle for Senate with current Kansas First District Congressman Roger Marshall, a Republican who stopped in Emporia last week as part of the “Keep Kansas Great” bus tour. The winner claims Pat Roberts’ seat when Roberts retires at the end of the year.
