Emporia city commissioners have a busy Wednesday ahead.
Commissioners have two meetings, a study meeting at 10 am and an adjourned action session meeting at 11.
During the study meeting, commissioners will review the solid waste management plan and discuss a potential rate increase for processed tire disposal. Commissioners will also look at potential map amendments to the city’s neighborhood revitalization plan. Park projects, a big topic last week, will see more discussion Wednesday. Commissioners will also get an update on the Emporia Public Library and discuss possible construction of a parking lot for SOS renovations at 1420 C of E Drive before reviewing the FEMA hazard mitigation plan.
Once the mitigation plan is discussed, commissioners will end their study meeting and move into their adjourned action session for potential action on said plan.
Both meetings are in the Municipal Court Room.
