Newman Regional Health has announced a new partnership for telemedicine services beginning next month.
FreeState Healthcare will provide overnight hospitalist services for adult inpatients and observation patients. FreeState will use virtual, real-time collaborations with internal medicine doctors and work simultaneously with onsite providers, including Newman Regional Health’s Emergency Department and on-call staff.
Newman Regional Health says this will help to improve patient satisfaction ratings and quality outcomes. It will also develop an integrated and sustainable telemedicine program to enhance services for Lyon County and neighboring counties. The hospital also expects this will improve cost efficiency and will track different metrics to further improve outcomes down the road.
