The Olpe Eagles picked up a dominating 61-0 shutout victory over the Northern Heights Wildcats Friday evening.
Olpe would open the scoring early in the first half with a 12-yard touchdown run by senior Chris Olson. The Eagles would then capitalize on three consecutive turnovers by the Wildcats to establish a 27-0 lead at the end of the first.
Olpe added 21 more unanswered points in the second to head into the locker room leading 48-0. Two more scores in the second half, both by junior Derek Hoelting, including a one-play 44-yard touchdown run to start the second, would see Olpe clinch their seventh consecutive win of the season.
Hoelting says they came ready to play from start to finish.
