Kansas Highway Patrol troopers are investigating after a reported law enforcement pursuit led to one arrest near Emporia and one man allegedly at large Saturday.
Lyon County Sheriff Jeff Cope tells KVOE News the chase on the Kansas Turnpike ended with a crash near the Emporia tollgate. One person was arrested. The second person fled on foot.
Troopers and Lyon County deputies searched for roughly two hours in the area of the Turnpike and West US Highway 50 before calling off that effort. Early indications are the suspect is a light-haired white or Hispanic male. Other details are pending and details behind the chase have not been announced.
