Chase Elliott won the Busch Pole Award for Sunday’s Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway, host of the opener of the Round of 8 in the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs.
The lineup was determined using NASCAR’s competition-based formula.
Elliott will share the front row with Joey Logano.
Clint Bowyer will start from the 12th spot in his final race at Kansas Speedway. On Saturday Morning Sports Talk Bowyer said they would do what ever the can to win the race.
Bowyer was eliminated from the play-offs last week just after he announced that he would retire from racing at the end of the season. He has agreed to join the FOX broadcast crew next year.
