The Emporia Board of Education ended Wednesday night’s special meeting by terminating the coaching contract of Emporia High football head coach Corby Milleson.
Board members voted 5-0 with two abstentions, Mike Crouch and Leslie Seeley, to terminate the coaching contract immediately. Board members are not commenting on why, mentioning board policy against speaking on personnel issues. Milleson was unavailable for comment after the announcement.
Milleson will receive all pay due under the contract as if he had completed all football coaching duties for the current academic year.
