It’s safe to say advance voting has been a hot topic in Lyon County.
Already, better than 17 percent of the county’s registered voters have cast their ballots, with close to 2,000 voting in person and another 1,600 by mail. County Clerk Tammy Vopat says things have gone well so far.
Voters can cast their ballots at the Fairgrounds Anderson Building until 4 pm Friday and from 8 am to noon Saturday. They can also cast their ballots at the Courthouse until 5 pm Friday, 8 am to 5 pm next week and 8 am to noon Nov. 2.
In addition, residents can still cast mail ballots if those have already been sent out or they can request a mail ballot application until Tuesday.
