The debate was far more civil than it was a month ago. But President Donald Trump and former vice president Joe Biden still sparred repeatedly over the issues of the day.
Coronavirus response was just one of the areas where Trump and Biden locked horns.
Much of the night had to deal with COVID-19 response, but more attention was paid to overall health care this time versus the debate last month. Biden says Trump simply has no plan.
Trump, meanwhile, says he eliminated certain parts of the Affordable Care Act to make the plan better.
The candidates also debated over tax policy, tax returns, immigration, racism and perceived foreign influence.
This was the final debate leading into the general election Nov. 3 and was much calmer than the debate Sept. 29, when both Biden and Trump repeatedly talked over each other to make their points. Last week’s debate was scrubbed after Trump decided against a modified town hall format where he and Biden would answer questions remotely.
