The Madison Bulldogs clinched a district championship Friday night with a 62-0 over Central Burden.
Four touchdowns on four possessions gave the Bulldogs a 30-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. Madison would tack on four more touchdowns in the second to close out the game at the half.
Sophomore Bryson Turner picked up three touchdowns on the night. With the regular season now wrapped up, Turner says they’re looking forward to the playoffs next week.
Coach Alex McMillian says he is grateful they have gotten this far given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Madison was led offensively by Turner with 93 total yards of offense. Junior Tony Brogan led Central Burden with 21 total yards.
Madison concludes the regular season with a record of 8-0 and 5-0 in district play. Central Burden falls to 3-5 on the season and 3-2 in district play.
