UPDATE: Missing Leavenworth children located, abductor apprehended in Oklahoma

Authorities have apprehended the suspect accused of kidnapping two Leavenworth children Saturday afternoon.

40-year-old Donny Jackson was apprehended by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Saturday evening in Erick, OK. Jackson had abducted his two daughters seven-year-old Nora and three-year-old Aven earlier in the day.

An Amber alert was later issued in an effort to locate Jackson and the two girls. Both girls were located with Jackson and are safe.

According to KJRH News in Tulsa, Jackson is believed to be connected to a homicide that took place at a residence in the 14900 block of Hillside Road in Leavenworth earlier in the day. Officers were called to the residence around 1:16 pm Saturday afternoon where they found two deceased juvenile males inside and discovered that the girls were missing.

Kansas authorities are asking residents to be on the lookout for two Leavenworth children who were abducted Saturday afternoon.

Around 1:16 pm the Leavenworth County Sheriff’s Department was called to a residence in the 14900 block of Hillside Road in Leavenworth. Upon arriving at the location deputies discovered a homicide scene with two deceased juvenile males.

Authorities also discovered seven-year-old Nora Jackson, a white female with blonde-brown shoulder-length hair and blue or hazel eyes, and three-year-old Aven Jackson, also a white female with blonde shoulder-length hair and blue eyes, were both missing. The suspected abductor is the girls’ father Donny Jackson.

Jackson is a white male 40-years-old, 5’11”, 190 lbs with brown hair and blue eyes. Jackson is believed to be driving a black 2008 Honda Accord with the license plate number 266MVB, however, the direction of travel is unknown at this time.
