Winter weather advisories now cover the entire KVOE listening area through the early portion of the work week
The National Weather Service has extended a previous advisory for Lyon, Morris and Wabaunsee counties from 1 am Monday to 1 am Tuesday. A separate advisory for Chase and Greenwood counties has also been extended from 1 am Monday to 1 am Tuesday.
The weather service has also issued a new advisory effecting Coffey and Osage counties from 4 am Monday until 1 am Tuesday.
Potential snow accumulations have also risen from 1-2 inches to 1-4 inches possible across the area. Drivers will need to excercise caution on the roadways as a mixture of precipitation and temperatures in the low to mid 20s coupd result in a hard freeze leading to slick travel conditions.
Stay with KVOE, KVOE.com and KVOE social media for more updates as they become available.
