The third annual Gary Fuller Memorial Shootout saw over 60 marksmen of all ages come out to support 4-H activities and the memory of one of Lyon County 4-H’s biggest champions.
The annual shootout pays tribute to the memory of Gary Fuller who spent the majority of his life in 4-H whether as a competitor in his youth or simply a supporter in his later years. Fuller sadly died in 2014, however, his passion for the activity has been carried on by his family led by his loving wife Lisa Fuller the shootout’s organizer.
Fuller says 4-H has always been an important activity to their family because it is an activity that encourages full family participation.
Final totals are currently pending, however, organizer Lisa Fuller says preliminary totals show the event brought in around $5,000. Fuller says those funds will support 4-H in a number of different ways.
