With more wintry precipitation forecasted through Tuesday morning, the National Weather Service has extended winter weather advisories for portions of the KVOE listening area.
Lyon County’s advisory has been extended until 7 am Tuesday morning. A separate advisory for Coffey and Osage counties has also been extended until 7 am Tuesday.
NWS has also extended its advisory for Chase and Greenwood counties until noon Tuesday. An advisory for Morris and Wabaunsee counties remains until 1 am Tuesday.
Snow accumulations of one to three inches are possible with slick driving conditions due to a combination of precipitation and overnight temperatures in the low 20’s.
