The Emporia High boys soccer team was scheduled to open regional play Tuesday night at Newton. The match has been postponed and rescheduled for Thursday.
It is a rematch of their 3rd match of the season, a match Newton won 6-0.
Emporia High Coach Victor Ibarra says they have improved.

Senior Hector Hernandez says one of the keys will be keeping pressure on Newton.
The Spartans are 7-7-1 Newton is 10-6.
The other regional semi-final has Andover Central playing Andover.
The two winners are now scheduled to play Saturday in the regional championship match.
