Three area counties had double-digit increases in coronavirus activity with their most recent reports.
*Coffey County added 19 new cases in its Oct. 30 report. It now has 173 total cases, 21 active cases and nine deaths.
Besides those numbers last week, Coffey Health System announced a staffer at Sunset Manor had contracted coronavirus with confirmation Oct. 28. Sunset Manor has taken several steps, including ending outside family visitation and visits from therapy and hospice personnel. Residents are staying in their rooms until further notice. All residents have been tested and staff were getting tests at last word.
Also:
*Greenwood County had 10 new patients Friday to put the overall total at 108. There are 25 active cases.
*Osage County added 13 cases over the weekend and now has 171 total cases along with 20 active cases. One new death was added, putting the county total at four.
