Lyon County residents are encouraged to attend — and offer comment — on the latest draft of the county’s zoning regulations next week.
The Lyon County Planning and Appeals Board is meeting Monday, and the main point of business is an application to recommend the zoning regulations — now in the fifth draft — to Lyon County commissioners for approval. Back in August, the Planning Board voted not to recommend the document, in part to make more changes and in part to let more residents offer input with the coronavirus pandemic ongoing. County commissioners then returned the application to the Planning Board for additional work.
With the continued interest in the zoning regulations, the Planning Board has taken a planned review of the joint city-county comprehensive plan off the agenda for more discussion at a later date.
The meeting is at 7 pm at the Fairgrounds Anderson Building. Residents attending the meeting are encouraged to wear masks and adhere to six-foot social distancing guidelines. The current draft is online at www.lyoncounty.org.
