The Kansas mens basketball team will begin the season ranked 6th in the nation in the AP Preseason Basketball Poll.
Gonzaga is the top ranked team. followed by Baylor, Villanova, Virginia and Iowa in the top 5.
After KU its Wisconsin, Illinois, Duke and Kentucky to round out the top 10.
Other teams from the Big-12 ranked include Texas Tech at number 14, West Virginia is ranked 15th and Texas 19th.
Kansas is scheduled to open their season November 26th against Gonzaga in the Fort Myers Tip-Off.
Gonzaga spent four weeks at No. 1 last season before finishing second to the Jayhawks in the final poll, which was taken when the NCAA Tournament was canceled by the COVID-19 pandemic.
