The Olpe vs Uniontown 1A play-off football game scheduled for Friday night has been canceled.
In a released statement Uniontown, USD 235 made the following announcement.
“Due to COVID-19, the administration and football staff at USD 235 have made the difficult decision to cancel our football game at Olpe this Friday. It is with a humble recognition that many teams across our state have also been faced with the same decision and chose to forgo their wants for the needs of students and communities and we have resolved to do the same.”
With the forfeit Olpe advances to the Sub-state round of the 1A play-offs and will face the winner of Fridays game between Lyndon and Centralia.
The Sub-state game is scheduled to be played November 21st.
