Recently, Flint Hills Community Health Center Director Renee Hively had to start working under what’s called “modified quarantine” after a close contact situation. Whether related to that situation or not, Hively is now trying to squash rumors of Health Center staff working while sick with COVID-19.
Hively mentioned her modified quarantine situation last week and re-explained that approach Thursday. Hively is allowing modified quarantine for asymptomatic close contacts because of recent staffing shortages, but they have to take several precautionary steps.
So far, Hively says just a few employees have been using the modified quarantine model to work at the Health Center.
