With very high fire danger Sunday through the start of the week, Osage County has put a stop to all burning for the time being.
A burn ban is now in effect through 8 am Monday morning. This means there will be no outside burning allowed and all burn permits are currently suspended.
With high winds throughout the weekend, including possible gusts as high 35 mph Sunday, fire control will be extremely difficult to maintain. The ban may be extended depending on how weather conditions unfold over the next 24-hours.
