One of Emporia’s nonprofits is closing its doors and suspending all operations for the rest of the month due to coronavirus.
Abundant Harvest at 1028 Whittier will be closed until at least Dec. 1. Director Lee Alderman says a worker has developed COVID-19, so the closure is being done as a precaution.
Abundant Harvest has returned to serving evening meals two days a week with the possible resumption of the popular Free at 3 food giveaway still pending.
