Lyon County had another big jump in new coronavirus cases over the past weekend, but the number of active cases flattened out to a large degree.
On Monday, Lyon County Public Health reported 111 new cases to move the overall total to 2,157. The active caseload, however, only climbed by three cases to 726.
One more death was added. The death toll is now at 46.
As hospitals across Kansas note rapid filling of available bed space based on staff capacity, Public Health says 11 county residents are currently hospitalized. Total hospitalizations due to COVID-19 are now at 130.
