Five of Lyon County’s six neighboring counties reported their weekend coronavirus activity Monday.
Chase County has 166 total cases, up from 154 a week ago, with 71 community cases, 15 at Chase County Care and Rehab and 80 at the Chase County Detention Center. Of those cases, only 17 are active — 15 in the community and two at the Detention Center. There have been three deaths.
Greenwood County added 19 cases over the weekend, pushing its total count to 197 and its active caseload from 15 to 32. The first coronavirus-related death for the county was announced last week.
Morris County went from 147 total cases a week ago to 163. It also went from 27 active cases to 20. The county also announced its first death due to COVID in Monday’s report.
Osage County added 50 new cases between Thursday and Monday, going from 374 to 424. Active cases, however, dipped from 126 to 120. There have been six deaths.
Wabaunsee County added 15 new cases, going from 278 to 293. Active cases held steady at 88. The county announced its second COVID death in Monday’s report.
