The Kansas Jayhawks were out scored by Gonzaga 102-90 in their season opener Thursday.
The Jayhawks scored the games first basket and that was their only lead of the game. The game was tied 4 times before Gonzaga pulled away late.
Kansas Coach Bill Self said they should learn a lot from this game.
KU had 4 players score in double figures led by Marcus Garrett with 22 points. Ochai Agbaji added 17 points. Sophomore Jalon Wilson finished with 11 points and Bryce Thompson scored 12 points.
The Jayhawks will look to bounce back from the loss against St. Joseph Friday afternoon with tip-off at 1pm.
