If you are on the hunt for the perfect Christmas tree this holiday season, the Flint Hills Optimist Club has got you covered.
The club began its 37th annual Christmas tree fundraiser Friday morning. The fundraiser, located in the Guion’s Showcase parking lot at 2023 West 6th Avenue, has a wonderful selection of trees ranging in price from $30 to $100.
Club member Bob Burnheide says they have a tree perfect for every household.
In addition to the tree selection, the club also has Christmas wreaths and Garland by the foot available for purchase. Club President Steve Younger says this is the club’s largest fundraiser each year and benefits a number of youth-centered activities within the local community.
The tree lot will be up and running now until supplies last with mask use required and social distancing in effect due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 5:30 pm to 8 pm, Saturday from 10 am to 8 pm and Sunday from 1 pm to 6 pm.
