A man who had reached a plea agreement on attempted kidnapping and domestic battery charges is now seeking to withdraw his plea and essentially overturn his sentence.
Goad has cited ineffective legal counsel a reason for his effort and will be in Lyon County District Court for a hearing at 1:15 pm Tuesday.
In late October, Gregory Goad was sentenced to over 15 years in prison on two counts each of attempted kidnapping and aggravated domestic battery. Goad was originally charged with 30 counts including aggravated criminal sodomy, kidnapping, aggravated assault and aggravated battery after alleged illegal activity with a then-22-year-old in December 2019 and this past January.
