Following schedule adjustments to the men’s schedule, the ESU Lady Hornets Basketball team is now announcing postponements to their schedule due to COVID-19.
ESU released a statement Friday saying, “Due to COVID-19 protocols the Emporia State women’s basketball games against at least Central Oklahoma — scheduled for Saturday — and Rogers State have been postponed and will be made up at a later date.” A decision on what to do for games past Dec. 10 is currently pending.
Head Coach Toby Wynn issued a statement saying, “We will focus on finals now and make the best of the situation.”
The postponement follows similar action by the ESU Men’s team earlier this week after it was announced they would not be playing their games against Newman, Central Oklahoma or Rogers State due to COVID-19 protocols.
