The drop in active COVID-19 cases continued for Lyon County Friday, albeit with a smaller reduction than earlier in the week.
Lyon County Public Health reported 80 new COVID-19 cases bringing the overall case total to 2,632 cases since late-March. 109 new recoveries were reported dropping the active case number from 284 Wednesday to 255 Friday.
The death toll remained at 50 with three cases pending final cause information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. Active hospitalizations also remained unchanged from Wednesday at 16.
