For over a month, Governor Laura Kelly has been discussing a new public service campaign to prompt people to use different COVID-19 safety measures. The campaign officially launched Thursday.
The campaign is called “Stop the Spread. It’s Up to Us, Kansas,” and includes information on the state’s testing strategy. It will run on radio, TV, print, social media, outdoor and digital advertising through the end of the month.
The campaign also revolves around a new testing website, www.GoGetTested.com/Kansas, to identify free testing locations across the state. Kelly says the website features a lot of useful information.
One goal is to double the amount of tests by the end of December. The Kelly administration says around 812,000 tests have been conducted since the pandemic began. Another is to more residents to follow guidelines on quarantine, isolation, prevention and contact tracing as recommended by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
