The USD 417 Morris County Board of Education has a special meeting Wednesday evening.
Board members will discuss whether to temporarily end remote education between Dec. 14-22, which would open the door for resuming activities during that timetable. The district has been in remote-only education since Dec. 1 with no activities until Jan. 11, when the district currently plans to resume in-person learning. Under one proposal to be discussed Wednesday, remote education would start in early January and continue until Jan. 11.
Also, after the Kansas State High School Activities Association’s Board of Directors approved two passes per participant family for athletic events, USD 417 board members will discuss whether to go with the KSHSAA Board’s guidance or stay without fans for now.
The meeting is at 5 pm at the Council Grove Junior-Senior High School Commons.
