(ap/espn) Jalen Wilson hit the go-ahead 3-pointer with 42 seconds remaining lifting fifth-ranked Kansas to a 73-72 victory over No. 8 Creighton Tuesday.
Creighton would miss a free-throw that could have tied the game. Coach Bill Self said they were fortunate to win the game.
Jalen Wilson finished with 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead KU. Christian Braun scored 14 points and David McCormack contributed 13 points as the Jayhawks won their fifth straight against the Bluejays.
The Jayhawks host Omaha Friday night.
