Public browsing resumes Monday at the Emporia Public Library.
Director Robin Newell says it will be good to open the doors again after being closed to public browsing for months due to COVID-19.
Public browsing will go from 9 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday and 1-5 pm on weekends.
Newell says people still need to stay home if they are sick or not feeling well. Patrons will need to wear masks and keep at least a six-foot social distance bubble between other patrons. Patrons are also asked to not “hang out,” congregate or sit on the floor while inside, and they are also reminded food and drinks will not be allowed in the library.
In-house events or programs, in-house reading and studying, meetings and study groups are all paused as are the sharing of magazines, newspapers, kits, children’s toys and children’s computers.
