Lyon County deputies say an Allen woman was hurt and later hospitalized after a crash north of Emporia on Tuesday.
Deputy Jody Meyers says 59-year-old Brenda Dick was southbound on Road L when her car went off the highway onto the gravel shoulder near Road 250. Dick overcorrected, sending her car across the road into a ditch. The car hit a barbed wire fence and overturned onto the driver’s side.
Dick was extricated and taken to Newman Regional Health. Meyers says her injuries were minor.

An investigation is underway after an injury crash north of Emporia on Tuesday.
The wreck in the 2500 block of Road L, about seven miles north of the Emporia north city limits, happened around 10:30 am after a vehicle went off the road and rolled. A woman inside had to be extricated and was taken to Newman Regional Health for suspected non-life-threatening injuries.
Additional details from law enforcement are currently pending.
