Lyon County has now surpassed 3,000 total coronavirus cases according to Lyon County Public Health’s latest update.
Public Health reported 78 new cases Wednesday bringing the overall total to 3,018. With 65 recoveries reported, the active case number also saw an increase for the first time in nearly two weeks and now stands at 157.
Four people died between the reporting periods bringing the county’s death count to 55 with five cases pending final cause information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. Active hospitalizations dropped by five between Monday and Wednesday from 8 to 3.
