The overall coronavirus case number continued its steady rise in Lyon County Friday.
Lyon County Public Health reported 63 new cases bringing the overall total since March to 3,081. 79 new recoveries saw the active case total drop to 141 after the first increase in that category in nearly two weeks was reported Wednesday.
The death count remained at 55 with five cases still pending final cause information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. Active hospitalizations rose from three to six between Wednesday and Friday.
