(chiefs wire)The Kansas City Chiefs had 3 players miss practice Thursday as they prepare for Sundays game against Atlanta.
Clyde Edwards Helaire with an ankle injury, linebacker Damien Wilson with a knee injury and Frank Clark with an illness missed practice.
Tyreek Hill with a hamstring injury saw limited practice time.
Last year the Chiefs’ defense came together at the right time, helping the team close out the regular season and make its push to the Super Bowl.
One of the goals for the defense this season was to carry that momentum into the new year. Players like Tyrann Mathieu sought to ensure that the defensive unit in Kansas City would remain a reason why this team won games. For the most part, they’ve been able to meet that goal this year.
Mathieu says they have not played their best game.
The Chiefs host Atlanta Sunday with kick-off at noon in Kansas City. The game will be broadcast on Country 101.7FM.
