(chiefs wire/yahoo sports) The Kansas City Chiefs host the Atlanta Falcons Sunday afternoon.
With a win, the Chiefs clinch the number 1 seed and a first-round bye in the AFC playoffs.
Chiefs receiver Mecole Hardman says Atlanta’s defense is active.
Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones says they just want to have fun.
The Chiefs announced a number of roster moves Saturday.
Starting middle linebacker Anthony Hitchens has not been activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Instead, the team used the COVID-19 replacement designation to elevate receiver Gehrig Dieter, signaling Hitchens won’t be back this week.
This means that we’ll likely see some sort of duo of Ben Niemann and Willie Gay Jr. as the Chiefs’ starters at the linebacker position.
In their base personnel, they’ll also likely use Darius Harris.
To help solve the depth issues at the linebacker spot the team activated an undrafted free agent in Omari Cobb.
Kick-off is set for noon. The game will be broadcast on Country 101.7FM beginning at 11 am.
The Sunday Night game has Tennessee at Green Bay. Coverage on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM begins at 7 pm.
