The Lyon County Courthouse will probably be a busy place Wednesday.
It’s the last vehicle tag renewal deadline of the year, affecting residents with last names beginning with the letters U, X, Y or Z. Residents can go to the Motor Vehicle Office between 8 am and 4:30 pm. Before doing so, they are encouraged to get in line virtually through the QLess app by texting “Lyon County Motor Vehicle” to 620-254-9998 or by going online to www.lyoncounty.org.
Wednesday is also the last day residents can pay the property taxes they want posted for this year.
Treasurer’s Office hours are 8 am to 5 pm. The Courthouse is closed Thursday for inventory and Friday for New Year’s Day.
