Lyon County deputies say an Emporia man was hurt in a crash Wednesday morning.
Deputy Jody Meyers says 27-year-old Wesley Frey was westbound on US Highway 50 when the wreck happened shortly before 10 am. Frey went off the road for currently unknown reasons in the 200 block and hit a tree head-on.
Frey was not wearing a seatbelt but suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Emporia-Lyon County Ambulance took him to Newman Regional Health for treatment.

One person has been hospitalized after a crash west of Emporia on Wednesday.
The crash happened shortly before 10 am on US Highway 50 between Roads B-5 and C. Acting Battalion Chief Greg Davis says the driver went off the highway and into a grove of trees.
The driver was taken to Newman Regional Health with apparently non-life-threatening injuries. Further details are pending.
