Emporia Police are asking for the public’s help as officers investigate several cases of vandalism and criminal damage.
The “tagging” incidents have taken place between Dec. 7 and this past Monday at numerous places across Emporia and at least one property on the Emporia State University campus, according to Capt. David DeVries. Public and private property have been defaced with the word “ZiP.” Police are not currently naming locations, but KVOE News observed the ZiP tag on both the Congress and State Street underpasses.
DeVries says it appears at least two people are involved. Suspect descriptions have not been announced.
