Texas Tech outscored Kansas State 82-71 Tuesday night.
The Wildcats kept it close in the 1st half building a 17-10 lead before trailing 36-31 at halftime. Texas Tech used a 9-0 run in the 2nd half to take a 17 point lead. Kansas State would no closer than 7 points the rest of the night.
Kansas State Coach Bruce Weber was encouraged, especially with the start.
Kansas State was led by Nijel Pack and Selton Miguel with 17 points each. Mike McGuirl and Davion Bradford both finished with 10 points.
The Wildcats return to action Saturday when they host Oklahoma State.
