The State High School basketball sub-state assignments were announced Wednesday.
Emporia High is in the Topeka West Sub-State with Newton, Topeka West, and Topeka Seaman.
All games will be hosted by the higher-seeded team.
In 1A Division I Madison will host a sub-state with Burlingame, Olpe, Lebo, and Madison participating along with Colony Crest and Cair Paravel.
In 1A Division II:
Hartford is in the Peabody Sub-State.
Southern Coffey County, Marais des Cygne Valley, and Waverly are in the St. Paul Sub-State.
In 2A Northern Heights and Mission Valley are at Mission Valley.
In 3A Council Grove and Osage City are at Council Grove.
For Classes 1A-3A in Sub-State, the first-round games will be played at the higher seed. The semi-finals and finals will be played at the host site.
For State, the first round games will be played at the highest seed.
The semi-finals and finals will be played at the host sights.
There will be no 3rd place games.
