This year’s participants in the annual Watch the Chiefs promotion courtesy of Triad Leasing and Country 101.7 FM learned which team they’ll be relying on to secure them a brand new 55-inch television during the NFL Playoffs.
Throughout the NFL regular season, listeners to Country 101.7 FM had a chance to name two mystery players during each game. Successful participants then qualified for the chance to win the television and also received a free one-topping pizza from Gambino’s. 16 competitors in total picked a number Saturday and were either assigned one of the 14 NFL teams in contention to win the Super Bowl or were told better luck next year.
Stephen Coleman was the lucky recipient of everyone’s favorite the reigning Super Bowl champions the Kansas City Chiefs. Coleman was the final qualifier for this year’s event and says he’s feeling pretty good about his chances.
Diane O’Mara received the NFC number one seeded Green Bay Packers.
Interestingly, O’Mara was the second to last qualifier for the promotion this year.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s selection event was unable to take place at Triad Leasing as in year’s past and instead was held virtually and broadcast on Country 101.7 fm Saturday morning.
