The Emporia High boys and girls bowling teams opened the season with first-place finishes at Andover Thursday.
The boys finished with a 2306 score. Tanner McGuire rolled a 603 series to finish in 1st place. Khalil Sanchez finished 2nd with a 594 series and Chase Swift finished 3rd with a 589 series.
The girls finished with a 1921 score. Britany Mohling finished in 1st place with a 536 series. Olivia Boettcher finished in 3rd place with a 473 series. Anya Tollakson finished in 4th place with a 455 series.
