The Emporia High girls wrestling team finished in 2nd place to Washburn Rural by 5 team points at the Centennial League tournament Friday.
The Lady Spartans did have 5 individual champions.
Evelin Geronimo at 101 pounds, Madelynn Griffin at 126 pounds, Virginia Munoz at 138 pounds, Hannah Boa at 143 pounds, and Megan Olson at 235 pounds.
Emporia High Coach Shawn Russell was named the Centennial League Coach of the Year.
The Emporia High boys will be wrestling in the Centennial League tournament Saturday.
Xerarch Tungjaroenkul is a defending league champion.
Ethan Garate is also a defending league champion.
