A man who allegedly led law enforcement from several agencies on a chase across parts of four counties has accepted a plea agreement in his case.
Joshua Forero pleaded to felony flee and elude during a hearing Wednesday. Sentencing is March 5.
Forero led a chase from Emporia to Franklin County after a suspicious van was reported in Emporia’s Dollar Tree parking lot over the Memorial Day weekend last year. The chase also went through parts of northwest Emporia before leaving town on Interstate 35.
Forero had been charged with aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, interference with a law enforcement officer, flee and elude and other counts. All other counts were dropped as part of the plea.
