USD 253 Emporia School district Patrons have until Thursday to submit their thoughts on the current search for a new Superintendent.
A survey is currently available to all patrons seeking insight into the type of values and characteristics that the district is most looking for in a new leader. The survey is being administered through the Kansas Association of School Boards with all information being kept strictly confidential.
The information gathered from the surveys will play a significant role in the next step of the process which will be a series of focus groups with district patrons scheduled for Jan. 27 according to District Community Relations Director Lyndel Landgren. Landgren tells KVOE News while there is no specific information readily available at this time, the district has already received a fair amount of interest in regards to the superintendent position.
