The number 2 ranked Baylor Bears scored the games first 5 points and never trailed on the way to a 77-69 win over number 9 Kansas Monday night.
The Jayhawks trailed by 16 in the first half. They would cut the deficit to 5 twice in the 2nd half but could get no closer.
Kansas Coach Bill Self said it was not all bad.
Christian Braun led Kansas in scoring with 17 points Ochai Agbaji added 16 points. Baylor was led by Jared Butlers 30 points.
The Jayhawks fall to 10-4 for the season and to 4-3 in the Big 12.
Kansas plays at Oklahoma on Saturday with tipoff at 11 am.
The Jayhawks are ranked 9th in both the AP and Coaches basketball polls this week.
Gonzaga, Baylor, Villanova, Iowa, and Texas are the top 5 teams in both polls.
Texas Tech is ranked 12th in the AP poll and 13th in the Coaches poll.
West Virginia is ranked 14th in the AP poll and 15th in the Coaches poll.
