A Morris County man accused of stealing a truck near Neosho Rapids and then leading a chase into Emporia shortly before Thanksgiving is set for a court appearance Wednesday.
Dustin Craige allegedly stole a truck near the Interstate 35-Kansas Highway 130 junction on Nov. 25. He then allegedly led Kansas Highway Patrol troopers and Emporia Police officers on a chase, occasionally driving into oncoming traffic, before he was arrested near 23rd and Hillcrest.
The 26-year-old Craige of Council Grove faces charges of theft, flee and elude and aggravated assault on law enforcement. A preliminary hearing is set for 10 am in Lyon County District Court.
